The Big Sing
What is it? The Big Sing Concert - a celebration of song from the students of HB vocal coach. Coming together to share the songs we have worked on during 2026. There are solo song performances, group performances, and duo performances. All accompanied with either the band or pianist/guitarist.
When: Saturday 17th of October 2026
Time: TBC start time (Arrival times for singers to follow)
Where: Langport Town Hall, Upper Floor, Bow Street, Langport TA10 9PR
Who can take part: Singers who take lessons with Helen and have been working on a song for the performance and singers who take lessons with Helen and would like to sing as part of a ensemble.
Who can watch: Family and friends of the participants
What rehearsals will there be: Singers will practice their songs in their lessons with Helen. There will also be an opportunity to rehearse your song with the musician who will accompany you on the day. Each singer will be accompanied by either a pianist or a acoustic guitarist/band depending on the song style.
When with the rehearsal with the musicians be: Most people will rehearse with their accompanying musician on Sunday 4th of October. If you are rehearsing at a different time, Helen will arrange this will you. If you are performing with the band it is likely to band a different date and Helen will organise this with you.
Where will the rehearsal be: TBC (It will be in Langport at either GingerFred or The Town Hall..I will confirm on this page ASAP)
How much does it cost to take part: The fees to take part in the sing go towards the costs of putting on the concert, including hiring the venue, payment for professional musicians, a professional sound engineer and professional photographer.
Costs of taking part:
Solo Singer: £25 (This includes your ticket cost)
Ensemble or Songbird singer: £15
Rehearsal fee for solo singer - half an hour (Accompanied by pianist): £20
Rehearsal fee for solo singer - half an hour (Accompanied by the band) £50
Can the audience buy tickets: Yes, the audience can buy tickets and these will be on sale soon and you will be sent an email notifying you of their availability. Tickets will be £5 per person.
How do a register my place in the concert: If you haven’t already, then it would be a good idea to discuss taking part with Helen.
